Dance of the Sanderling
Dance of the Sanderling is inspired by these fascinating little birds. They scurry about at the edge of the surf like wind-up clockwork toys. Sanderlings visit Cornwall’s beaches in the winter from their breeding grounds in the Arctic.
Change is the Only Constant
Bamaluz Old Pier, St Ives seeks to stand as a reminder of mutability. Change is the only constant in life. The pier was built in 1864 when the local fishing fleet was thriving. Today you will see only a handful of boats in the harbour. The Common Fisheries Policy has decimated Cornwall’s fishing fleet.
