It’s all about the light. I’m often asked if it’s true that there is a magical quality to the light in St Ives—I would have to say yes; artists have been drawn to it for many years. For me, it’s about the magnificent skies of many colours, early morning walks and evening strolls which inspire my work. I endeavour to capture this sense of vastness and the feeling of everyday insignificance it evokes.
